Completely natural sphagnum moss provides a great terrarium substrate for amphibians and wetland environment reptiles. Great for use in humidifying shelters. Place in and around water dishes to allow easy access to water and less risk of drowning. Excellent as an incubation medium for most reptile species.
Available in five sizes.
5 gal, 10 gal, 15-20 gal, 30-40 gal and 'Mini Bale'.
Mini Bale is 343 Cubic Inches. 5.62 Liters.
Place the bale of compressed moss in clean bucket of water. Squeeze the moss so it absorbs water. When water is absorbed, wring out so that only about 15 to 20 percent of the moisture is left in the moss. Place it in the terrarium around a low shallow water dish and build moss around the edges of the dish so your animals can easily get in and out of the water. To prevent possible drowning of smaller animals, put a sponge or a piece of driftwood in the water dish.
Many smaller types of snakes such as green snakes, ringneck and Dekays snakes are shy by nature and do best if kept on a bedding of dry sphagnum moss.
100 percent all natural sphagnum moss with no dyes.
