Aiptasia-X is the highly effective, long sought-after Aiptasia treatment every reef aquarist is looking for. Natural components form a uniquely thick, adhesive material : eliciting a feeding response in Aiptasia . The adhesive form also seals the anemone's mouth, preventing the release of planula, or larval stage anemones. Within minutes, the Aiptasia will implode, eradicating the anemone and the planula.
Before using product, turn off all devices that cause water motion and lave off for approximately 15 minutes after administering the Aiptasia-X material.
Shake bottle vigorously.
Assemble the needle to the syringe needle by rotating the needle until it locks in position.
Insert the syringe needle into the bottle and fill the syringe with Aiptasia-X material.
Slowly advance the tip of the needle closer and closer to the oral dish of the Aiptiasia anemone to be treated while gently releasing small quantities of the material. Let the anemone tentacles close over the needle.
Spread the solution all over the anemone's oral disk. The tentacles will start to shrink and release the needle. It is important to cover the entire dish with material to prevent the release of the planulas.
To treat small Aiptasia colonies, spread the solution all over the infected area.
Treat as many anemones as possible in single treatment. If you need to refill the syringe with more material make sure that there is no salt water inside the syringe before placing it inside the bottle.
Any residual solution can be left in the aquarium to decompose naturally.
After completing the treatment and to prevent blockage in the needle, flush any residual material from the syringe with hot water.
Store the Aiptasia-X at room temperature.

Chances are, if you have live rock, you have hitchhikers like harmful mantis shrimp or crabs. This trap will help you get rid of these pests by using a release sensitivity adjustment to trap shrimp crabs inside. X-terminate the problem with the X-Terminator.

Set trap by gently releasing door latch on top of trap while pushing the door inward.
Door will lock into place and remain open.

Place bait (krill, freeze-dried foods, etc.) into rear of trap. Make sure bait remains clear of trip panel.

If using the product for cleaning, place the Vacuum into the water up to the water line mark but no higher. Attach the vacuum cup and vacuum bag to the main assembly. Push the button on top to operate and begin by slowly moving the gravel attachment into the gravel to help loosen waste so that it can be drawn up by the vacuum. Continue doing this throughout the aquarium until the desired amount of the tank is cleaned. To simply do a water change attach 1/2" hose (not supplied) to the spout where you would normally attach the vacuum cup. Submerge unit to water line marking and turn switch on. Once the switch is turned on a siphoning action will begin and once that begins you may turn the unit off and the siphoning will continue. Remove the desired amount of water and then to stop siphoning action, either remove unit from the water or raise hose above water level. The Algae Scraper attachment can also be used to remove large amounts of algae from your tanks glass walls. Simply replace the gravel attachment with the algae scraper attachment and proceed as if cleaning the gravel.

Determine the exact place to install filter. The peculiar shape of the unit makes it stable and easy to place in any pond. Connect the diverter valve and ball-joint leveling device, the telescopic tube and your choice of water nozzle to the outlet of the pump. Turn diverter valve into closed position. Place the filter on a horizontal surface about 4 inches from the bottom, away from mud and algae. In order to have a good water jet, the bottom surface must be horizontal and the jet must be in a vertical position. Use the ball-joint on the telescopic pole to adjust it to a vertical position.
The filter is now ready for use. Plug in the power cord to the pump.
Note: The power cord to the UV should only be used when free floating algae control is required.

Maintenance:
Maintenance is required when the height of the water fountain or pump flow decreases.

To open filter:
Unscrew, counterclockwise, the fountain assembly, diverter valve and fitting. Unlock filter housing and open the 2 sides. The fountain assembly, diverter valve and fitting must be removed from the pump prior to opening up the filter housing.

To clean the filter:
Open upper lid and remove mechanical filter sponge. Wash sponge with water. Do not use solvents or detergents.

To clean pump:
If necessary to remove pump, first remove media and UV cover. Turn the front housing counterclockwise, extract the impeller being careful not to lose any internal parts. Wash the parts with water and check the wear condition by turning the impeller while keeping the shaft firm. The impeller should turn smoothly. Reassemble all parts paying attention to proper placement of all components.

To clean UV sleeve:
If algae proliferate it may be necessary to check proper functioning of the UV bulb. If bulb is functioning, it may be necessary to clean quartz sleeve. To do this, make sure unit is disconnected (both pump and UV). Remove upper lid. Using a screwdriver, extract the quartz sleeve. Use rubbing alcohol to remove any build up of dirt or slime. Check that quartz sleeve has not been damaged and replace.

To change UV bulb:
For best efficiency UV bulb should be replace yearly (approximately 9,000 hours of use). Disconnect both pump and UV. Remove the upper lid. Remove the bulb lid. Using a screwdriver, extract the quartz sleeve and UV bulb and replace with a new one. Reassemble all parts making sure that all gaskets in the bulb cap are placed correctly.
