Attach the faucet adapter and Super Pump to water faucet located above a drain. Insert the Cleaning Claw assembly into the aquarium. Rotate and pull down the bottom of Super Pump. Open Manuel Valve. Turn on water at faucet to start siphoning action. Insert the Cleaning Claw into the gravel and move from side to side or front to rear in the direction of the vanes.
To fill the aquarium: Push up bottom of the Super Pump and rotate. When aquarium is full, close manual valve.

Before vacuuming or filling, set the water temperature from the faucet to the same temperature as the water currently in the aquarium.
Adjust the gravel tube valve as you clean so that the gravel is lifted and agitated inside the gravel tube, while the amount of dirty water being discarded in the sink is at a minimum.
To stop the water flow at any time, while either vacuuming or filling, completely close the gravel tube valve.

To vacuum:
Attach water flow assembly to faucet using faucet adapter. Submerge gravel tube in aquarium water.
Open water flow assembly valve and close gravel tube valve. Turn on faucet. Open gravel tube valve to bewgtin vacuuming. To fill: Close water flow assembly valve and open gravel tube valve.

Connecting water flow assembly and gravel tube to hose:
Unscrew and remove compression nut.
Slide compression nut over end of flexible tubing.
Push flexible tubing over hose barb where compression nut was removed.
Slide compression nut back down flexible tubing and turn to tighten onto threads behind hose barb.
Ensure that compression nut is securely holding flexible tubing in place.

Gravel cleaning is a breeze with this practical device. The unique self-activated siphon makes starting a cinch, and the wide-mouth nozzle increases surface area by an amazing 20%. Aquarium clean-up becomes easy.
Assembly: slip the end of the hose over the cap on the cylinder. It may be necessary to heat the tip of the 56" vinyl hose (by holding it under a hot water faucet for about 5 seconds). The hose must fit tightly. Hot water will also eliminate any kinks.

To activate self-starting siphon: Place an empty bucket near and below aquarium. Grasp the hose 4-6" above the top of the cleaner with hand on top. Place the other end of hose in the bucket. Completely submerge the cylinder and cap in aquarium water. Keeping the loop of the hose as low as possible, move cylinder up and down rapidly 5-6 times or until siphoning begins.

Some gravel will rise slightly in cylinder as debris is removed, but will fall down as cylinder is lifted. At least once a month, remove about 25% of aquarium water.

Lee's Squeeze-Bulb Ultra Gravel Vac uses a squeeze-bulb to make water changes easier than with traditional siphons. New design lets you remove water from any level of your aquarium. Strainer helps prevent your fish from becoming caught. Includes an on/off valve for flow control.

Assembly:

Attach the short length of hose to the cylinder cap. Insert the IN end of the squeeze-bulb into the other end of the short hose.
The long hose attaches to the OUT end of the squeeze-bulb. Finally, insert flow-control valve into the open end of the long hose.
Note: Arrow must point toward open end of valve.

To start Siphon: Place an empty bucket near and below the aquarium. Place the end of the cylinder in the gravel or as low as possible into the aquarium. Put the open end of the hose in the bucket.
Compress and release the squeeze-bulb rapidly until siphoning starts. After siphoning begins, lift the end of the tube a few inches above the gravel until all the gravel falls from the tube. Repeat this action until all the gravel is clean or you have removed approximately 25% of the water.

To stop siphoning:
Lift the end of the tube above water level until all the water drains from the hose or use flow-control valve.
